Pre-Employment Transition Services Coordinator

The Pre-ETS Coordinator will help students with disabilities ages 14-21 to address career development needs, guide students with disabilities for employment, explore their post-secondary education options, and develop employment-related soft skills to prepare students for successful long-term employment consistent with their strengths, abilities, interests, and informed choices.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Deliver Pre-ETS trainings: Job Exploration Counseling, Workplace Readiness Training, Instruction in Self-Advocacy, Work-Based Learning, and Post-Secondary Education Counseling
  • Develop and foster relationships with Students, School District Personnel including special education and transitional coordinators, family members, and other agencies within the community
  • Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and submit progress reports
  • Conduct job exploration activities
  • Post-secondary training options: Instruct students with disabilities in informed decision-making and interpersonal, education, and vocational skills
  • Explore student’s strengths and self-advocacy skills related to their disability
  • Be highly organized and able to work independently
  • Recruit and enroll 250 students per year
  • Have a strong ability to multitask while giving instruction and supporting students in trainings
  • Have excellent oral and written communications.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with various schools and community partners
  • Self-starter, creative, and goal-oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Present self as a professional in school and work environment
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum of an Associate degree or Human Services Related Experience or Education
  • Experience working with students with disabilities
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $40,000 – $45,000 with experience
